I'll ask!

I am, by the way, definitely too big a wimp to be tattooed. But I am ANYWAY.

I posted about it, but awhile ago - my dad's tattoo was his father's day present, and obviously I had to get one *too*.

That is BEAUTIFUL! Is it your first tattoo?

[identity profile] keryx.livejournal.com 2007-07-02 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
Yep, it's my first!

And of course, I'm already thinking of all these ways I'd like to elaborate it.

You probably mentioned it in the earlier post, but what's the symbolism of your tattoo?

[identity profile] keryx.livejournal.com 2007-07-02 01:55 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a jumble. I thought of the pomegranate a long time ago, and kept thinking of other things - but ultimately, all of those are the same things: change, reaffirmation of life. The leaf/seed count (10 seeds, 7 leaves) echoes this Noh theatre idea (inside 10, outside 7) of movement continuing beyond the obvious/physical. And there's a tiny hint of my "this machine kills fascists" idea in the guitarish shape of the two halves.
