That's exactly why I think the words suck so royally - they get used as if they have some sort of Great Scientific Truth behind them (especially by dorktastic obesity researchers), but what they actually mean is that someone is uncomfortable. And I think we have a very hard time separating that comfort-in-my-body thing from this idea that we're eeevil if we're fat, or eat, or speak up, or take up space. Logically we (most of us) know that taking up space is not evil, but we're not completely invulnerable to the idea - and it comes out as "I feel fat", or "I'm uncomfortable".
