The 10 things I've done that you probably haven't, nyah, meme. From [livejournal.com profile] peregrin8, among others.

1. I was once hit by a car, and just stood up and kept walking to rehearsal. I still own a t-shirt from high school that says "I can't, I have a rehearsal", which apparently applies to emergency room visits.
2. I've stage-managed a show in a professional regional theatre, while in high school.
3. I've trained with a number of slightly odd theatre folks in their experimental styles.
4. I've acted in multiple plays done in a dive bar/club.
5. I bought a Scion.
6. I started an internet magazine called "Cuntzilla".
7. I have a little piece of paper signed by Ralph Nader (from waaaay before he ran for president) that really looks like it says "for a cutie citizen".
8. I once waited outside the Boathouse in Norfolk for at least an hour - maybe most of the day - in order to get Crowded House to sign my jeans (okay, so [livejournal.com profile] snidegrrl did, too - but none of the rest of you did).
9. In high school, I had a petition circulated against me by my fellow students because I had purple hair.
10. I named my cat for a contemporary Japanese novelist (and it's worth it to have to delete this one if one of you has a cat named Murakami or Mishima).

For some reason, I remember it that we waited outside starting at like 2pm, which can't be right. can't!

I suspect we did, actually. I recall seeing one of the band members rollerskating that afternoon. And we'd been there for so long by the time the show was over, I was like noooooooo, I don't want to wait for them to come out.

I haven't done anything on your list, but I thought it might amuse you to know that I still list Cuntzilla under my publications on my resume. -_^

Also, My friend had his copy of David Letterman's Top Ten list re: Ralph Nader autographed by Nader. Ralph wrote, "Be more funny, Dave."

I've just discovered Murakami and am really enjoying him.

Yeah, you kinda have. You've trained with me and with Slade. I've trained with a bunch of different styles - the Suzuki/Viewpoints stuff, that weird trip to Mass this winter, someone who did fusion Indian Martial Arts theatre, etc.

nuh-uh! i went to one really cool high school and one mediocre one, where a very small group of people decided that being weird would make me a bad graduation speaker - they were quickly quashed, but i was flattered they tried. ;)

I did #1, only I was headed to the swimming pool instead of a rehearsal. I was very addicted to swimming at the time. (I don't have the T-shirt, though.)

Hee. We're hardcore, eh? What I didn't mention is that I was all kinds of scabby, sore and bruised by the next day. So, not so hardcore after all.

My cats were named Yuko and Hiro after a Blur song, and I did your #8 if you replace Crowded House with Blur, jeans with t-shirt, and outside the Boathouse with "inside the Edge studios"! Blur overdrive, somehow. Every Blur concert/ticket presale was lined up for hours and hours beforehand. Usually starting around noon. :) I was obsessed.

(or i did anyways, i seem to remember this for no good reason.) and little stickers that said our mood was "excited" or something. i wish i could remember their faces. who was it that opened for them? the blue aeroplanes? or is that the church show i went to...

I was sore for a few days afterward. I don't remember any scabs or bruises but I probably had those too.

I know that my fat protected me from being more injured than I was as a result of flying several feet to the pavement.

the blue aeroplanes were before that church show, the one the night before some exam we both had (dude, that was MIDDLE SCHOOL, wow that i remember so clearly). i don't remember for sure who opened for CH - was it the ocean blue? school of fish? it was some odd little band i ended up liking for awhile after, just by association.

I was at my thinnest (and least healthy) then, it was back in high school. Maybe having more fat on me would have prevented the giant shoulder-to-ass bruise down each side; it was pretty horrid-looking, and I could barely sit. I actually hid it really carefully for a couple of weeks cause I was so sure my mother would be pissed and refuse to let me go back to the theater.

I was at my thinnest at the time as well, but my thinnest still included plenty of padding.

That's me! Maybe I should post some new pictures of myself around here. I've been growing my hair and it's past my shoulders now (duh.) Here's a very similar but slightly different picture, highlighting my nationality! :)
