I voted Republican too. And yes, it's the pick your enemy mentatlity. I was, however, very embarrassed about the whole thing. I fought down the urge to explain to the poll workers that I'm not *really* a Republican, I'm just voting that way ... *sigh* I am, however, wearing a blue shirt, which I will also wear to three different Republican victory parties tonight and I expect I will stand out and look like a Democratic infiltrator. Are you by chance, wearing red? That may have labeled you as Republican-looking.
