My mental break courtesy of
thealicia_w. The third-from-bottom question made me think of another meme someone should start (if someone hasn't): name every city you've visited and the best place to go there, for food or otherwise. Has anyone done that?
What's the last thing you ate? Organic rice & strawberry cereal w/ almond milk, and some vegan bacon.
What's your favourite cheese? Feta. Or anything else tart, honestly.
What's your favourite fish? Tuna. Raw! Though bonito is also quite good.
What's your favourite fruit? Pomegranates.
When, if ever, did you start liking olives? Probably as a toddler. Me love olives.
When, if ever, did you start liking beer? Eww. Nast. Never.
When, if ever, did you start liking shellfish? I think I was born liking shellfish.
What was the best thing your mum/dad/guardian used to make? Dad grills a mean salmon. Mom makes The World's Finest Chocolate Cheesecake.

How do you like your burger? Rarely (I don't like hamburgers much).
How do you like your eggs? Even more rarely. And in quiche.
How do you like your potatoes? Mushed inside a crust of breadishness. Gnishes, yum. Samosas, yum.
How do you take your coffee? Decaf, black.
How do you take your tea? Herbal, with honey.
What's your favourite mug? It's not exactly a mug, but I have a really cute sunflower-shaped teacup that came with a bouquet of flowers from the boy a long time ago.
What's your biscuit or cookie of choice? The tiny ones with the little dab of icing in the center.
What's your ideal breakfast? Shrimp & grits. Or a croissant and a bunch of berries.
What's your ideal sandwich? Granny smith apple, sharp cheddar, tomato & lettuce. Toasted garlic bread (the kind with chunks of garlic baked in).

What piece of kitchen equipment could you not live without? My itty bitty saute pot.
How many times a week/month do you cook from raw ingredients? It depends on the week or month. If we're in an eating out period, we might go a month without cooking more than 10 times. If we're not, we might cook every night, plus breakfasts.
What's the last thing you cooked from raw ingredients? I honestly don't recall. I think tonight we're having shrimp & leeks with mustard sauce.
What meats have you eaten besides cow, pig and poultry? Lamb. I've also eaten alligator, shark, rabbit, snails, frog, and a wide range of sea-going creatures (eel, urchin, conch, among others), but I'm not sure those count as meat.
