Also, what is the real feminine alternative to "guys"? I don't think it's "gals"; that word seems freakish and outdated. I say "chicks", but it's really hard to tell whether someone is a tasteless offensive schmuck or a powerful woman with a sense of irony with "chicks". How do you get the same casual air of "guys" without using, you know - "guys" in your conversation?
I'm stumped. Oh, and someone got a bit huffy with me on WHB (on the "guys" question), and instead of emailing back, I posted it on the site as a question to readers - link. I felt so mature and reasonable.
