I might not be. But I personally think that the fight for queer acceptance is universal to all queer people - that is, all laws that use gender to control who is and is not able to form a legitimate relationship with whom pertain equally to gay people, bi people and trans people. I got into a discussion on
a complete stranger's LJ post about bisexuality (in which I think I didn't explain myself well enough) today that seems to counter my belief that we're in the same fight.
It was pretty typical of the tension between the gay and bi communities in general. Her contention is that, among other things I agree with to varying degrees, bisexual people are better off than gays (particularly legal-rights-wise). What do you think?
