From the CDC (which is a useful source of weekly factoids), some factoids that semi-prove what I say about teen violence: it's on the decline.

So, next time someone tells you kids these days are getting scarier and scarier, please knock them upside the head. Or, um... just point out that evidence might indicate what's actually happening is we're getting more paranoid. The kids are actually less violent at school than my cohort.

It's the video games, I tell ya.

Do any of you lovely readers know the Northern Neck (VA) area?

We're going to a wedding out there, and Princess Pokeybutt here forgot to reserve rooms at the primary hotel. So now I'm trying to figure out where (preferably not at a B&B where I feel obliged to keep the host's hours) we should stay.

Or we could just go home. It's only like a 2.5 hour drive.
