Jan. 4th, 2005 12:03 pmAfter the discussion of it on tribe.net, I had to check out the goofy bellydance set that Carolena Nerriccio did for Barnes & Noble. I have to say, it's a good time.
For those of you with a vague, passing interest in dance, it's a passable 15 buck introduction (way cheaper than any other video or class) that you wouldn't feel bad about not using a lot. If you have real ATS training or even (as I do) have the FCBD videos, it's all old stuff, but the CD by itself was worth the cash. And I can pass the DVD on to someone else instead of loaning out my tapes.
Also, the zils, which looked like they were plastic, are actually about on par with the first quasicrap pair of zils I bought a couple of years ago. You could learn with them, which is pretty good for the cost.
