yeah. sometimes i just want to beleive that people won't hate me for the way i look. that's not such a bad thing.
the bad thing is, as i was discussing with a friend earlier, fat hatred is so deeply rooted that people can't even aknowledge to themselves that it's rooted in prejudice and, well, hatred. they view discrimination and hatred of fat as "tough love". so if you confront them with it they feel disturbed by their own vitrol and thus go in to denial mode and call you a looney.
