Just so everyone's straight on this (no pun intended), while the Federal Marriage Amendment failed, my "I vote however W tells me to" senators both voted yes.

Warner, you have 4 years to stop being a dick. Get moving. Allen, I know you're completely irredeemable in every way - as, let's face it, you're really just a minor league W anyhow - and I fully intend to see your smirking face fired in 2006.

Do you know where I can go to see how my Senators voted on the issue? (Though they're both Republicans, so I can imagine how it went.)

Do you send them e-mails? I do, but it feels like such a waste of time. I keep getting letters back that say, "I really appreciate you're interest, blah, blah, blah,- but I don't agree with anything you say (and if it's Allen there's something about traditional American values thrown in there) so fuck off and thanks a lot!" Those aren't the exact words- but that's the drift.

I still send them letters. Warner is sometimes (though not recently) receptive. With Allen I consider it more of a warning that his pink slip's coming.
