stupid kerry.
Oct. 19th, 2004 04:05 pmIf this electoral prediction is true, why would the Kerry campaign have nearly withdrawn from Virginia? Is it a lot harder than I imagine to gain <5% of the vote in a month or so? Could be.
I wonder sometimes if the Democrats don't lose this state just because of their own disinvolvement and the cost of media participation. The Bush campaign has been running television spots uncontested in this state since the beginning of September.
Pisses me off. It's entirely possible that the voters of this state aren't as conservative as people think, but we don't know because Democrats so rarely bother to appeal to the left-of-center folk.

Date: 2004-10-20 11:42 am (UTC)anyhoo, over the past few days, all these places have been calling trying to get mom to help, volunteer, call, distribute, harangue, etc. so i have to apologise to all the people because momma is gone, and explain that no, she hasn't switched sides, she's just really unavailable, and they say all these vaguely desperate things: we really need your support, we're so close, every vote counts, please help.
my point being - northern virginia, at least, hasn't given up. maybe richmond and points south, sure.
