I nominate Melissa Nathan the High Empress of Chick Lit Jane Austen Remixes. I just finished her Persuading Annie (that'd be Persuasion a la Bridget Jones/Shopaholic Does Something Really Stupid), and it's every bit as filled with silly goodness as Pride Prejudice & Jasmin Field (roughly the same treatment of Pride & Prejudice). If you love the silly like I love the silly, you'll love this book. That means you, missmeridian.
