I guess I feel like... yeah, an ideal world would be one where people didn't feel that they need surgery to, say, prove they're women, to themselves of anyone else. But I still think it would make sense to offer the option to trans women. Maybe the ideal world would be one in which The Powers That Be offer it as an option but generally de-emphasize it in importance, so it becomes one thing among many that a person might do?
