who's coming to the march?

I've been remiss in getting to the local meetups around the March for Choice/Women's Lives/whatever, but I think locals from Virginia are mostly taking big tourish buses up to DC for the March on 4/25.

I'm curious what other bloggers are doing, though. Are you joining up with a local delegation? Going it alone? With some friends?

I have a small group of local friends all planning to go, and maybe to stay over on Saturday, get a big hotel room or something. I'd like to meet up with others, but I'm not really about the tour bus. [Bad experiences. Smells.]

I'm curious... how do you feel about the name change? It annoyed me but whatever.

I have no idea I just know I hope to hook up with my friends from LJ and get a group together... I think we've all just been too busy to talk logistics.

My friend Jess belongs to the NOW chapter on her campus, and they are supposed to be getting buses and rooms for the march, so I am planning to go with them. I'm still waiting for more information though, but the bus sounds like best bet. I really don't feel like puttin 1200 miles on my car in one weekend.

The name change annoyed me. Greatly. I wrote about it in my blog when it first happened. I've been demeaning the March passive-aggressively ever since with my "march for choice/lives/whatever" language, but as you said, whatever.

I also think there's a pretty sizeable delegation of people who aren't plugged into local organizations at all, and I wonder why the March website doesn't have much info for those types.

Yeah, I hear ya, I live like 2 hrs from DC, so the car isn't a problem. I could spend $20 on a bus ticket or 1/2 that in gas. And I'm pretty sure I want to get there the day before, which the Richmond bus won't do.

I hope you don't mind I friended you. I may not stay friended but I read your journal and enjoyed the links and your position is similiar to mine on things like being irritated by Kerry in the previous post. Hope it's ok if I pull up a chair. If not blame veggiemama for mentioning you;)
