Second that. It's a lovely little museum. The herb garden won't be functional this early in the year, but that's only a minor loss.

Stroll in Central Park, and St. Mark's Place in the Village. I'm also very fond of the Whitney museum but it's not necessarily a must-see for all.

There's a nice little Chinese take-out place in the Village where you can order General Tzo's Chicken and a dimebag of heroin to go. That's always fun.
Seriously, take the Staten Island Ferry at night. And hang out in the Village. But skip Windows on the World. I hear the view isn't as good anymore.
