Something I don't get: why do all of Torrid's summer dresses feature tube tops and spaghetti straps?

I mean. Fat grrrl = larger breasts, often. Larger breasts = hard to find strapless bra. SO? Why would a company that caters to larger women market so many things those women couldn't realistically wear? Huh?

I'd like to imagine that they're all "RAWR, we're feminists! Fuck your fascist bras!", but they also sell [the world's least supportive and crappiest] bras.

I've always wondered the same thing about Torrid. I'm about 2 cup sizes over a DD, and therefore it's absolutely impossible for me to find good strapless bras. There's no way I could wear half their clothes without straps showing, which I'm actually not totally averse to.

In the general discussion, as long as the colors aren't too hideous together, I like wearing tank tops and the like even if my bra straps do show. Who am I trying to kid? Of course I'm wearing a bra!

Yeah, I'm totally with that. I wear camis over bras all the time. But a tube toppish dress over a bra? I'm thinking no.

OMFG some of those are hawt, though. I'm having enough trouble finding a decent-quality 44DD bra in general, I hate to know how hard it would be to find a special type of 44DD bra...

Torrid'd probably carry it, but it would SUCK, unless you were only going to wear it lying on your back.

Sigh. Yes. I like nice fluttery summer dresses, and there's lots of nice fluttery summer dresses about... but they all have those hateful STRAPS.

OOOOOOH, (wo)man, i think we are psychically connected. I would be tempted to buy one of those tube dresses and alter it to add straps or sleaves, except THE WAISTLINE IS USUALLY DOWN AT MY CROTCH. though, the excess fabric in the waist could serve as strap-makings... hmm...
