moved out!
Aug. 14th, 2005 01:11 pm...if only I were also moved in. Finally handed in the keys to old place this afternoon, after spending 4 hours cleaning it and all day yesterday moving (much thanks to the lovely and talented moving crew; y'all are the swelliest). Yikes. Now, I chill. And eventually unpack 8000000000000 boxes.
Anyone looking for something to do today? [Pause for show of hands] Yeah, I didn't think so. I don't even want to unpack my own stuff.
I wish more people were Sunday morning LJ posters so I'd have something to read. My books are all in boxes.

Date: 2005-08-14 12:15 pm (UTC)The Field Guide To Geeks has been making the rounds of my (very geeky) circle of online acquaintances. If your social circle includes LARPers, comic book fans, sci-fi or gaming-con-goers, and/or polyamorous bisexual pagan chicks, it's pretty grin-inducing....
Then there's The Adventures of MixerMan -- the diary of a music tech recording an album for a band with a record deal but not much talent. I found the bits about the drummer laugh-out-loud funny. Probably funnier if you've actually grown up around musicians/spent time in a recording studio.
Or if you're looking for something meatier, you could always search for public-domain classic literature on the web: "Frankenstein," anything by Shakespeare, the works of H.P. Lovecraft, "The Little Princess"....
(Can you tell I spend all my free time readin' shit online? :) )
