The main reason I said cable, is that I enjoyed having television when I was first living alone again. I don't watch it much these days, but I like having that daily dose of "pop culture", no matter how bizarre it may be.
I already do go without: [digital] cable, massages, a playstation, cable television, television period (unless you count the fact that I own one for the purposes of watching a videotape on it once a year - I absolutely never use it as a television, and it doesn't work right so it only gets three channels anyway), movies (unless you count my approximately one movie per year), physical hobbies, outdoor hobbies, and spa or 'pampering' of some sort (unless you count clothes-buying as pampering, which to me it sort of is).
Interesting that the most people said the massages would make you feel best, but everyone could do without the spa/pampering option. Possibly people don't equate the two.
Yeah, I think that's a little weird. Maybe it's that people think of massages as a nice thing to do, but don't get them - thus they literally can do without?
I think it's a cost thing too - like I wouldn't put monthly massages in the same category as cable, because I think of them as being WAY more expensive than that.
