I think i'm getting another cat after all. My parents found a kitten snoozing next to a dead deer at a park today (they live in practically the wilderness in Maryland). She's female, younger than I was planning, and hasn't yet been checked by a vet, but if she's healthy I'm keeping her.

I mean, really. It's not every day that your family, who are already planning to come visit you in a just a few days, finds a needy animal in such unusual circumstances just when you're thinking about adopting another pet. It's too seredipitous for me. I can't reject her; she may just be meant for us.
