I read this book, When Elephants Weep, over Thanksgiving. It's not even all that well-researched or brilliantly written. In many ways, actually, it's like pop psychology but about animals, in that it focuses on anecdotes and emotional appeal.

But it pretty much solidified my desire to not eat anything farmed. I don't know if that desire will last, but currently the idea of any meat turns my stomach.

I'll take that advice. My parents are also going vegetarian (independently of me), and they have absolutely no idea what to eat. I've been cooking vegetarian for awhile, so the main shift for me will be eating out.
