There was almost nothing else on NPR last night or this morning. I'm glad (even though I forgot & bought lunch, I did put off a host of other errands for today) - it's ridiculous and racist for an immigrant nation to treat newer folk with so little respect.

It's Lamar Alexander, speaking on the Senate floor against the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish.
