keryxAny of you DC/MD/VA folk not get enough feministing in last weekend (not the one that ended yesterday, silly - the one before that!)?
Cause if so, you could check out the Visions in Feminism conference being put on at College Park. It looks like all the organizers and participants are younger than us, o readers of the cohorty-and-older persuasion, but I choose to see that as a very cool thing. Anyhow, someone gave me a flyer for this thing at the March, and then another flyer turned up (looking very trod upon) before our show at the Raygun yesterday.
[Hrm. I just had trouble spelling "persuasion". Do you ever get that - the sudden inability to reconcile the appearance/spelling of a word you know and use all the time? Of course you do.]
I will probably add the ViF thing to my list of places I'm not going and things I'm not doing this weekend (at the top - Fat Girl Speaks, which is on the other side of the country), and stay home waiting for the blasted sofa delivery folk and watching episodes of West Wing and Gilmore Girls (hey, April was a hectic month). But you could go!
