Dan "asshat" Savage is being, well, his usual asshat self. Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] snidegrrl, for enticing me to read that shite.

I think he's just trolling for some pictures of hot fat women in low-rise pants that he can jerk off to. Cause he's such a closet straight boy, with his lollipop-headed skinnybutt ass.

If Mr. Asshat gets to talk that trash about me, I get to talk trash about him.

On the other hand, I'm a bit miffed with some others' condemnation of his asshattiness, as it seems to be coming dangerously close to "people can wear whatever they want, except for REALLY fat people, cause those people are ugly and should be wearing tents" rhetoric. And I left my can of whoop-ass in the car! Damn!

Oy, I hope my comment didn't give that impression. If I did, I apologize, it was totally unintentional. I think it's bullshit that the really big ladies (and men, too, although they're not scrutinized the same way) are expected to hide themselves and be dowdy so other people don't have to deal with their fat hatred issues. If something makes you feel good, you should wear it, no matter what size you are.

Also, do you really require a can of whoopass, here? Cuz you're sorta like a walking talking whoopass bomb all on your own! ;)

Of course you weren't one of the miffers! Anyhow, if you were, you'd know about it. I think you rock, which is exactly why I'd run out to my car for that can of whoop-ass if I thought you were saying stupid stuff. It was more other annoying bloggers, mostly apart from Kim's posts on the subject.

Okay, that's good! *phew* I figured you'd call me out if I said anything dumb, but you know, sometimes it's not bad to check. :)

I am very, very supportive of fat activism, but being economy sized myself, I also realize that there are a lot of things I miss or don't see clearly because it's not something I've had to struggle with personally. So if I ever say or do something insensitive, don't hesitate to bring it to my attention. It's my business as a feminist to be a good fat-positive ally so that we can change this culture for the better, together. We're all beautiful just as we are, dammit!!!

You are also rocking, and should totally have a QUEEN OF ALL THINGS ROCK tee shirt!! Damn. I need to learn how to silkscreen!!

As I said in Big Fat Blog, I am so beyond uninterested whether a gay male sex columnist likes the way I look in tummy shirts.
