I know it's supposed to be offensive, but something about this 'fat people are mean' shirt makes me want it like I want a 'baby killer' shirt.

I think it's that I like fat people, little kids, and soccer moms so much. And wouldn't it be fabulous to have a fatgrrl closet full of anti-fat stereotype tshirts? The vast potential for dumbfounded stares is thrilling!

I want one that says "Fat People are Mean... RUN AWAY!" and a picture of a fat chick with a chainsaw. Maybe, in my current configuration, a fat bald chick with a chainsaw. And an ax.

And CafePress would let me have that shirt... I love the Internets.

That really is the superultrafantastic thing about the internets. And printers that do iron-on transfers. We can have shirts with ANYTHING, just like that!

Schway, I'd totally get that.

I saw another shirt once that was supposed to be (and arguably is) fatphobic that said "fat people are harder to kidnap" and I totally wanted it. Is that terrible?

I'd totally add "fat people are harder to kidnap" to my imaginary collection. That'd rock.

I want one that says "Fat kills!" with a picture of a bunch of fat people trampling skinny people.

Cute. :) Although I wouldn't want to wear a shirt that implied I feel a need to squash thin folk. I think there's already enough stereotyping that I'm supposed to hate anyone thinner than me.

I think it's a bad idea

I don't think that it's a good idea to buy anti-fat t-shirts, because you're giving money to the people who perpetuate the anti-fat message.

If I swore never to give money to anyone who perpetuated the anti-fat message, I'd pretty much have to flat-out stop buying things in the US. Oh, and refuse to pay my taxes while I was at it. *grin*

You have to think more specifically then that. Take the buying-a-tshirt from Cafe Press thing - the person trying to sell an anti-fat shirt gets like $2 if I buy one. And I get a good $20 worth of inverting anti-fat propaganda. Plus, with a little research, I can even annoy the original fat-hating person by sending them photos of fat people wearing their shirt.
