My date last night reminded me of the point of "liberal arts" education: you may not be an expert at anything, but you can talk about everything. Which is consistent with history: the foundation of liberal arts is all about making clever conversationalists & delightful party guests.

You know, so you don't embarrass your husband when he has the boss over for dinner and the boss throws out a Shakespeare quote or references a different culture.

now, that's what I mean. Liberal arts is all about flexibility.

Although, I *did* get my MRS degree when I was at college the first time. I wonder if I could get them to put that on my transcript?
