Wendy Shanker wrote this book ("fat girl's guide to life") that is like the Jane magazine of size acceptance. I was excited by its cuteness at first, thinking it might be another "Fat!So?". But it ain't. It has nothing to offer me.

But then, I actually saw pictures of Wendy herself. She's totally adorable (particularly in the pre-insane-makeup shots). She's the kind of girl I get crushes on, but without the extra "I could kick your ass" attitude (which adds a nice edge).

So maybe her book's okay after all...

I told you. Totally shallow.

She sure is cute and I second the helmet hair. So do you completely bypass the book?

I don't know. A couple of years ago, I think it would have seemed really insightful to me. Maybe in paperback.
