I think MSNBC - and in fact, all internet news - should replace its television writing with TWOP.

Then I wouldn't have to put up with stupid articles [purporting to dissect the new "fat people on TV" trend - GASP - and forwarded to me from the DTMWSIMB list] claiming that the purpose of Roseanne was to "legitimatize the lives of the obese" or that the show is "remembered more as reflecting stereotypes of fat folk as funny and low-class" than anything else. The big thing with that show was always reality and the class issue. We only see it through a fat lens now because we're wearing Obesity Crisis! Egads! glasses.

Also, a side note to the guy who wrote this pfiffle: no one cares that you're fat, dude. Get over yourself.

hey - did you know that both sars and wingchun have been writing for msnbc.com? also - yahoo is partnered with twop, so now that i keep my calendar/address book on yahoo instead of, oh i don't know, a working home freaking computer [see below], whenever i check my taping schedule, it helpfully points me to twop. aw. i'm so proud of them!

also. **cringes** i just bought a new laptop!! it won't get here until nov 9-12. so i'll be without home computery goodness until then, fyi.

i'm a passing TWOP fan. i read because i have no WB station, but there is sometimes a little toooo much snark re. the shows i truly love.

but you can never have enough snark to handle the likes of Alias, for instance.

I think Miss Alli also writes for some major sites (Besides TWoP). I know she's interviewed a lot for articles on reality television.
